Why Sleep with the makeup on?

Why Sleep with the makeup on?

Who and why would want to be sleeping withmakeup on? Well, many of us for many reasons. But is it healthy for the skin? Is it going to generate some negative effects over time? What kind of makeup is safe to sleep with on your face? How to rescue your skin after a night out and some hours of sleep with your face still wearing that makeup.

Mistakes in daily care of y...
our complexion

What you shouldn't do if you want a clear, healthy complexion

To care for your physical appearance you don't need just cosmetic products. There are mistakes that you can do without even knowing it. Did you know that sleep is important for a healthy and good looking complexion ? It is important how, in what position you sleep, or that when you wash your face the water temperature is also important? Some small details can have a huge effect on the look of your complexion.Sleeping with makeup on your face is not considered healthy! Regenerative processes in the skin are more intense at night and so it is essential that the skin is cleaned up before going to sleep. Otherwise, various adverse effects may occur such as blemishes, acne, excess sebum, a matte finish or dry skin.To get more sleep on one side of the face than on the other. During sleep it is impossible to control which side of the face you sleep on, but you can at least take care not to sleep too often on the same side, pointing out to avoid wrinkles. Also, choose a softer pillow, that is made of a smooth fabric.Washing with hot water. Cleaning the skin of various residues that gather during the day, after exposure to many factors, it is a good thing, but if you use hot water you will do more harm than good. This is because water has a temperature high enough to cause broken capillaries on the face.Capillary walls are very thin and elastic and therefore they are so sensitive to temperature. It is best to use warm water or even cold water that will revitalize the tissues.Rubbing the skin around your eyes- The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the face and most sensitive, especially as it has sebaceous glands. Therefore, the more you rub the skin over the area, the skin stretches even more. So you should avoid rubbing your eyes after you wake up and not press too hard when you're cleansing your complexion.Using too much face cream Wanting to make things as good as possible, you might use too much face cream. In this case, the skin can not absorb all the product, as skin cells will not be able to breathe properly and the result will be clog pores.

How to get a complete look in 5min

How to get a complete look in 5 min

Hi all.

Today I will be writing about the 5 minutes makeup. Yes, 5 minutes :-)

I remember when I started as a makeup artist, I would normally use minimum of 45 minutes to beat a face. Mind you, I still do. if not even more. However, I have now mastered the 'Art of the basics' and I am here today to share with you how to achieve the professional look with the available makeup products in your makeup bag and still look amazing. All you need is your 'Foundation, Powder, Bronzer, Mascara, Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Eyebrow pencil, Lipstick and 2 or 3 brushes and you're good to GO!

So, lets do this!

I will assume you already have applied your moisturizer, then...

(1) Apply your foundation, with either your sponge or foundation brush but if you are in a situation when you don't have a either of those. Take your first few minutes here to really blend the your foundation as you want to look as uniformed as possible and blot with your powder.

(2)Fill-in your eyebrows with your eyebrow pencil with light strokes, this is just to enhance your brows. If you have a matte eyeshadow the shade of your brow pencil, feel free to do the same. Some like pencils, some like powder, I like both.

(3) Take your Bronzer with your blusher brush, start from your forehead, then to your cheeks for contouring. I just go to the forehead and paint a number '3'. I think its the best way to achieve the best contour, and its less complicated. :-)

(4)Use the same bronzer and apply as eyeshadow on your eye lid, and blend up to your crease, then highlight your brow-bone with with a lighter eyeshadow that can blend into the bronzer on your eyelid without over-powering it.

(5) Line the top of your eyes with a dark coloured eyeliner (depending on how dark you like your liner to look) and just go over your bottom lash line with the bronzer on your eye-lid. A quick 3 coats of mascara.

(6) Finish up the look with your prefered lip gloss or lipstick and tad aaaa... YOU'RE A DONE!

Give this a try and let me know how it went.

PS: If your eyes are soft... Punch it up with a bright looking lip colour. Strong eyes... Soft lips. If you like to go all out.. Well, you know what to do :-)

I just love this soft purple eye we did with Annika. Her light skin and blonde hair is perfect for this soft look- her eye colour really popped with the eyeshadow. Using MAC eyeshadow- called Sketch! I just love sketch! Only the outer corner- inner corner of eye I used Phloof.
We didnt do any liner- just mascara- she wanted a clean look :)
